Mumbai, September 13 (IANS) Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who is receiving positive response to her recently released streaming show ‘Do You Wanna Partner’, has spoken about the first-mover advantage with the series, and how it had the “best of both worlds”.

The actress spoke with IANS in the Khar West area of Mumbai during the promotional campaign of the show, and shared how having two directors on board, added up to the larger narrative.

She told IANS, “We had the best of both worlds with Archit Kumar and Collin D’Cunha. Archit had a firm grip on emotional graph and Colin was just somebody who held fort whenever it came to anything extremely comic. They both are two very different directors but thanks to Prime Video and Dharmatic, I think we were able to pull off a very ambitious schedule and we were able to get ready very quickly but one interesting thing is that we shot the show in April last year. But in so much time, still no one has picked up this type of subject”.

She further mentioned, “Considering, in today's time, there's a lot of talk about entrepreneurship, startups, there's a lot of knowledge about it, there's a lot of information but no one has picked up this type of story yet. So, we're hoping that we kind of have that first mover advantage in this space”.

Earlier, Tamannaah had called her character in the show a ‘hustler’, who is impulsive and passion-driven. She said that her character in the show is more sort of voice of reason and she creates that sense of balance in her madness.

Mumbai, (IANS) Actors Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday are all geared up for their upcoming movie Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, which is slated for a Christmas release this year.

The actors who are currently on a promotional spree were spotted at the Kaun Banega Crorepati sets on the 1st of December to promote their movie on the iconic quiz reality show hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Ananaya was seen dressed in a beautiful and classy saree, while Kartik looked dapper in his suit-boot avatar.

Apart from imparting knowledge to the audience, KBC has become a hotspot for movie and show promotions for the entertainment industry, owing to its popularity. Mumbai, February 1 (IANS) Bollywood heartthrob Vicky Kaushal shared that the recovery of his “maharani” Rashmika Mandanna is more important than anything else.

In the late hours of Friday, Rashmika took to Instagram, where she shared two photographs from the promotional event of their upcoming film “Chhaava”. The first picture, Vicky is seen bowing down with folded hands in front of the actress, who is sitting on a wheelchair due to a fractured leg.

The second photograph showed the two stars sitting as they addressed the crowd.

For the caption, Rashmika wrote: “Maharaj. Bhosle parivaar ka har purush pahaadi toofan hai. You as Vicky Kaushal and as Raaje are most definitely a toofan. You truly have a way of making all of us feel very special.”

She mentioned that it was lovely to have the actor in Hyderabad.

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Priya Bapat, who leads the investigation in the recently released psychological-horror streaming series ‘Andhera’, has said that working on OTT has been a very rewarding experience for her.

The actress spoke with IANS during the promotional run of the show, and shared that while she has been working in the Hindi and Marathi cinema for over 20 years, it’s the OTT, which has given her the opportunity to try meatier parts.

She told IANS, “I feel that I think I have got more meaty parts and more challenging roles in the space of OTT now even from the time I started be it ‘City of Dreams’ or ‘Andhera’, every show that I have done so far has given me a lot more. Everything I did and learnt in my Marathi industry and from the cinema that I did, I think more than the box-office, OTT really has been challenging, experimenting and it's a great space to be”.

The actress also called the experience of working in OTT, a liberating experience as makers on OTT trust her with parts which are well-fleshed out.

She further mentioned, “It is liberating, and also for an actor like me it's a great time because people are trusting you with different parts, more women characters are being written in a good way in a good space”.

Mumbai, Sep 02 20925 (IANS) Actress Saba Azad, who can be seen in the recently released streaming film ‘Song of Paradise’, has shared her experience of trying the Kashmiri accent in the film.

‘Songs of Paradise’ is inspired by the life of Padma Shri awardee, Raj Begum. The lead character is portrayed by Saba Azad and Soni Razdan across two time periods. The film offers a peek into the life of the Padma Shri awardee.

Saba Azad spoke with IANS during the promotional run of the film, and said that she was privy to the Kashmiri accent but the film demanded nuance of a certain degree from her when it came to the phonetics.

Saba Azad is also a voice artiste, and was acquainted with the accent from some other part of Kashmir. However, the role demanded the accent from Srinagar. The actress shared that cracking the diction of the character was not exactly a cakewalk for her.

She told IANS, “It wasn’t a cakewalk, there was definitely a challenge. There's a tendency to go a little overboard always because everybody has kind of heard the accent. We're Indians, we've got so many different languages and you hear all accents all the time. We live in a metropolis, we come across people all the time, someone is from West Bengal, someone is from Punjab, someone is from Kashmir, so you're hearing all sorts of accents at all times. So all of us have it in our heads somewhere in our subconscious”.

She further mentioned, “But I think the challenge is really to not go overboard, which is where Danish (the director) comes in, he was really reining me in at all times because I think I was more familiar with another region of a Kashmiri accent. He was like, ‘You need to come back to this region’”.

For the uninitiated, 'Param Sundari' is a cross-cultural romantic comedy, set against the beautiful backdrop of Kerala. The trailer that was released a few weeks ago, put to showcase the uniqueness of the two cultures amidst monsoon-drenched roads, backwater bike rides, and centuries-old churches.

Tom Holland is preparing for a pivotal shift in his Spider-Man journey with the upcoming Spider-Man Brand New Day movie. The film, expected to be released on July 31, 2026, will have a story that will take a step away from the focus on the intergalactic level crisis and focus on street-level narration. The next movie promises to give a new slant to the character of Tom Holland by featuring Peter Parker who is now totally on his own as a superhero without having to rely on former coaches or scholars to help him out.

Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President, now provided some revelations about the direction where Brand New Day is going, on a roundtable that was conducted as a part of the promotion of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Feige also adds that Peter Parker in the upcoming movie will go through a new and more mature stage involving being self-sufficient, which has been hinted at since Spider-Man: No Way Home.

According to Feige, this change was preconditioned by the emotional price of things that Peter paid having been forgotten by his loved ones. Having lost the ones to lean on, the Spider-Man of Holland is now shown to be patrolling the streets on his own and getting involved with localized crime. Such a turn towards small timeline adventures is an indication of a shift to the origins of Spider-Man, something that the older comic book fans have been yearning to see being converted into film.

The Punisher Joins the Storyline

The other mark is the entry of Jon Bernthal, The Punisher in the Spider-Man story. The film is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who has been focusing on the traditional lines of Marvel comics elements. Feige has disclosed that Cretton is being influenced visually in pre-production by eight or nine of the all-time classic comic covers, which provides an old nostalgic feel to those familiar with the original books.

Returning Faces and New Entrants

Zendaya, who will play MJ, and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds will be returning to take part in the new movie as well. Such returning characters are likely to close the emotional plots of the previous films, though it remains unclear how their relationship will go now that Peter has been forgotten.

Mumbai, (IANS) Before kickstarting the promotions of her forthcoming drama " Maa", Kajol offered prayers at the divine Dakshineswar Kali temple in Kolkata, seeking blessings from Maa Kali.

During an exclusive interaction with IANS, Kajol shared what all she loves about the city.

Speaking to IANS, Kajol said, "I love the food, I love the speed of the city- there is a certain ease. Mumbai is not like that at all. You enter Mumbai and your pulse picks up literally, the minute you step foot in Mumbai. But, Kolkata has this- there is this ease to the city, and to the people, and even to the traffic."

Aside from the low pace of the city, Kajol also adores the people of Kolkata.

"They are just lovely people, they are just wonderful people," she added.

Earlier, Kajol lauded husband Ajay Devgn for his hands-on approach as a producer, who has also backed "Maa" under his home banner Devgn Films.

Calling Ajay a really good producer, Kajol shared "He is a really really good producer, he is an excellent producer. He is one of those very much hands-on producers. So, from scripting to the VFX, to the music, he has really gotten his hands dirty and made sure he is a part of all of it and made sure it all works- even till the marketing for that matter. So yaa, he is a really really good producer."

The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 film “Life in a... Metro” directed by Basu. Mumbai, May 2 (IANS) The Gen-Z diva Janhvi Kapoor, who has turned a host for her childhood home in Chennai, owned by her mother, the late actress Sridevi, shared sweet memories of the residence, describing it as a special chapter in her mother's legacy.

Sridevi's home in Chennai has been listed on the vacation rental company Airbnb's under the category titled 'Icons'.

Speaking at the launch event, Janhvi said: "I think this house symbolises such a special chapter in my mother's legacy and in all of our lives. It was her first major purchase once she started working and her 'prized possession' really."

The 'Dhadak' fame actress went on to narrate the sweetest memories of her childhood home, saying, "Growing up it was always like a theme in our lives, alright we are going to Chennai, and we have a city house, My mother loved the beach."

At her family's Chennai holiday home, Janhvi will be hosting two guests, providing access to one bedroom and bathroom.

"So what you can expect is very good energy, we have made a lot of special memories in that house, an amazing view, access to the beach, and just a nice place to relax and be with yourself," she added.

In the Airbnb property, guests can enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine, indulge in Janhvi's beauty secrets, and practice yoga with ocean views. It will be available from May 12.

On the professional front, Janhvi next has romantic sports drama 'Mr. & Mrs. Mahi' alongside Rajkummar Rao.
