Dimapur, (MExN): The Bible Society of India 5th and 6th Miles Branch conducted promotional seminar at 5th Mile Model Baptist Church on May 28. Twenty-nine leaders from ten Churches of different denominations participated in the seminar, stated a press release received here. Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary shared the importance of Church participation in the ministry of the Bible Society of India (BSI). He stated that BSI is the handmaid of the Church in God’s mission. Bible Society is formed by the Church. “Without Church there will not be Bible Society. Bible Society and Church are partners to fulfill the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ,” he stated. Rev Wezah shared that there are 7,396 living languages in the world. Out of which the Holy Bible has been translated into 3,666 languages in full and part of it. There are still 3,730 languages without any part of the Bible. “Who should provide the Bible to them?” he paused while urging the participants that “it is the responsibility of individual believers and Churches to provide them the Word of God.”Marwati, Assistant Officer said that it is the role of the branch to share the ministry of the BSI to Churches and individuals.
