Talented local singers and musicians will perform on April 27, 2019, from 4 p.m. at Balaji Temple Auditorium in Bridgewater, N.J. the organization said in a press release.
OHM Charities, an Indian-American non-profit organization established in 2018 to promote cultural awareness through entertainment and promote music, language and Indian heritage, is joining up with the cultural organization OHMkara, to hold their first-ever Bollywood music concert “Sunheri Yaddein.”
This year, OHMkara marks the fifth year of their program and to their commitment to promote local artists. After several requests and high demand from the community this talent will be showcased in a concert dominated by Bollywood songs of various singers and actors, actresses, music composers and writers.
The state-of-the art auditorium will ring with choreographed numbers of old songs from K.L. Siagal, Suraiya, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosale, Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Yesudas, Kumar Sanu to newer songs from Shreya Ghosal, Arijit Singh, Atif Aslam and more, organizers say.
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s 50 years of Bollywood contributions will also be celebrated in a special tribute to living legend.
OHMkara is one of the leading organizations in New Jersey to promote Indian music, art, literature, and language since 2013. Other events it has organized include Samananvay, Saat Suro na Sarname, Mor Bani Thangaat Kare and Gujarati Jalso with talented singers, musicians and comperes held in the U.S. in major cities and also in Muscat and Dubai.
Thousands of Gujaratis have enjoyed OHMKara-organized concerts with renowned singers and music composers like Parthiv Gohil, Gurang Vyas, Purushottam Upadhyay, Sairam Dave, Jahnvi Shrimankar, Manasi Parekh, Utkarsh Mazumdar, Chirag Vohra and many more in the last five years, organizers said in the press release.
The next major event by OHM Charities & OHMkara will be in early 2020 according to the organizers, and details about that will be announced by end of 2019.
